What is the difference between this and the SP8II as to why can't the SP8II be mounted in the ceiling but this one can? Thanks.
The JBL B-8IW and SP8II are both made for in-wall applications. Our speakers made for ceiling are the round ones that usually have IC on their names.

I have jbl 590 front speakers and planning to add jbl b-81w as rear and surround speakers. Are these speakers recommended to pair up with jbl 590?
Our JBL B-9IW is best paired with our JBL B-Series speakers. Our JBL 590 is best paired with our JBL Studio 5 series speakers.

Hi, what is the difference between B-81w and SP8II? Whice speaker will be better for home audio? Movies and music? In addition can i add the ARENA 55IW as a center ?
Hi there, thanks for posting a question. They have different impedance rating. JBL B-8IW has 4 ohms while SP8II has 8 ohms. Both are great with music and movies. You can also better pair the Arena 55IW with the SP series as they are also 8 ohm speakers with an almost similar tweeter. Furthermore, you can check other product information through the product specification sheet and owner's manual.
