Big bass boost from a compact woofer enclosure

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Deep bass Regular cab pickup have 2,one under each seat. Bass is deep and can feel it. Adjustments on stereo head unit are critical. Have 45 watt per channel amp for other JBL speakers,GTOs and CLUBs. This is blendable easily. Does not disturb useful space. They fit nicely. Have nice look also, but nobody sees them : )

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound for the size! I had this installed in my 2015 Jeep Wrangler and what a difference it made! It fit right under my seat and sounds great. When I turn it up, the mirrors shake and makes the whole jeep thump. This is perfect to buy if you want decent bass for a low price and a sub that can hide under your seat. Overall I'm very happy with this sub!

I have a Jeep and I just installed this woofer on my system. The blue powerlight on this thing stays on even if everything is off. Is that normal?

Asked by: Jeff Powell
Disregard my answer about the blue light... mine did turn off. Just took a couple min. :-/

I have a 2016 GMC Sierra With the Bose speakers, Will this cause a problem from the system if I add the Subwoofer to it

Asked by: barnesqw45
No it will not negatively effect anything. If you just have a properly trained technician catch the sign and turn on lead from the correct outputs. All should be good when done correctly. Most MECP TECHS are more than capable.

Hi, I'm planning in installing a JBL GTR-104 and running a cable from the pre-out to the sub. I want to know if the BassPro SL will be able to filter-out the higher frequencies as I suppose the amp will transmit the whole frequency spectrum.

Asked by: lexmarkpol
Yes, you can connect the outputs from the GTR-104 directly to the BASSPRO SL. Then use the crossover in the BASSPRO SL to filter out the higher frequencies.

Can this be mounted vertical against a wall or only flat on the floor?

Asked by: Northmnsledder
The BASSPRO SL can be installed vertically, but we recommend otherwise. You can get the best experience from the BASSPRO SL when installed vertically, with around 3-4 inches distance from a panel. This is why, ideally, under a seat would work best. Doing this can give you better low frequency response.

Will the BassPro SL work in a 2016 RAV 4 Hybrid Limited

Asked by: Herctam
Thank you for your question, this would work with any vehicle, depending on the connection on your car. The standard wiring is red-12v power, black- negative ground, blue for remote. and audio inputs from your head unit.

Can you connect two together?

Asked by: Neogeo
It is not more of connecting them together but using two in one set-up – which is definitely possible, provided that your car battery/batteries can provide enough power for two of them. Since the BASSPRO SL is a self-powered subwoofer, you do not necessarily need to wire them together but simply run separate wires for them. For power and ground, generally, you have two options, to wire them individually or wire them with a distribution block. For the remote cable, you may find that a single remote turn-on lead is unable to handle the current draw demanded by multiple amps. One way to work around this issue is to connect the turn-on leads from your amps to a relay, which is triggered by your head unit. Now for the inputs, this depends on what your head unit offers, if it does have low-level (RCA) or high-level inputs (speaker wires). The BASSPRO SL can accommodate either form of connection and would require you to split the outputs from your head-unit to wire both amplifiers. It is important to remember to set the gain and crossovers at the same level.
