Great speaker!!!
I’ve had the clip 4 for a few days now and we really like it. We listened to 6 hours of music the first day without even charging it. We used it that day Instead of our flip 3 that we normally use and I really think it sounded every bit just as good. Plenty of volume, great sound, and the clip on top is perfect to hang anywhere. the buttons are in a great location and very easy to press, even with gloves on. Unfortunately, the power button is a little too easy to press. A slight bump of the power button turns the unit off. Luckily, press it again it comes right back on very quickly. Even with that, I would definitely buy another one tomorrow. This little speaker is amazing!!

I like the jbl clip 4. I wish there was a way to skip the song, instead of just fast forward. Also, a button to let you know how much battery was left. I do not like the placement of the power switch, can be turned off by bumping it wrong. I would like more colors like the clip 3. Sounds great. But fully charged, it did not play for 10 hours, which I thought it would. It said 10 hours of battery, and I am wondering, how is that measured?

Look:
The clip is the perfect size to take with you everywhere. Its simple but elegant design makes it stand out and you are immediately addressed by it. Of course, the clip is super practical, I have already hung it on my e-scooter, on my bag or even on the trunk.
Sound:
The clip has a super sound quality, no matter whether loud or soft the sound is always perfect. It also doesn't matter whether you listen to music, the radio or an audio book, everything is in perfect sound quality!
Handling:
The handling is super easy. Switch on the clip, connect it to your mobile phone via Bluetooth, turn on the music and off you go!
Conclusion:
I've really fallen in love with this clip and wouldn't want to do without it! I give it a clear buy recommendation and ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

Great sound but no speakerphone?!?!?
I recently upgraded to the clip 4 after having the clip 3. Before the clip 3, I had the clip 2. Both of the previous versions had great sound AND speakerphone. This clip 4 has no speakerphone and apparently isn't waterproof but "splashproof". How can you charge $69 and not include those features that were in the previous versions? I wanted to return this and just buy another clip 3, but I've already recycled the box. It was so convenient to take a phone call while I was listening to music or audiobook. Now I have to fumble with my phone when calls come through. I feel duped, but I guess that's on me for not going over the specs in detail. I just assumed the next version of the clip would include previous features AND even better sound. Silly me. Three star rating is for phenomenal sound but NO SPEAKERPHONE AND NOT WATERPROOF. Should have been no more than $50 instead of $69.

Good sound, low battery life.
I bought this to use at work, assembling vehicles, moving every 1/2 hour. The sound is good, I'm not in a loud environment. But the volume was at 3/4 and above for less than 4 hours and the battery was drained. The thing that was frustrating is the power button location. Since I was moving it 2-4 times an hour, the habit is to grab and go. When you do, the power button is almost always hit and the unit shuts off. I had to make sure I grabbed the carabiner.
If you're looking for a small personal speaker, it had good sound and should serve you well. If you are in a louder environment, you may need more power and longer battery life.

I believe the LED indicator is the only thing that shows the battery level. The app is not compatible with this speaker.

Can I pair multiple clip4 speakers?
Our JBL Clip 4 can't connect to any other JBL portable speaker as it does not have any built-in features to connect to other speakers.

Can the Clip 4 answer phone calls? I have Galaxy Note 20 and it’s not. My sister has Clip 2 and hers does. I can’t get it to pair with my iPad are they compatible?
We're sorry to hear about what happened. Our JBL Clip 4 has no built-in microphone like our JBL Clip 2 that's why it can't be used as a speakerphone. Our JBL Clip 4 can pair with any Bluetooth-capable device. Please try to reset the speaker if this can help fix the problem:
In Power On mode, press and hold volume+ together with play/pause for more than 10 seconds on the Clip 4. The speaker will power off and is now reset.

Is there a way to make the clip 4 float like in the YouTube videos?
Our JBL Clip 4 is rated IPX67 protecting the product from submersion in 1 meter (3.3 feet) of water for up to 30 minutes, but it is also resistant to dust. This speaker is not designed to float on water.

How does the clip 4 respond to sun heat? is it subject to melting on hot days if it's in the sun?

I noticed the charging port on this speaker is exposed to the elements. Would this lead to corrosion in a marine environment? I work on the water and looking to upgrade my clip 3 which has been great.
Thanks for your question. Yes, it may corrode when it's always exposed to salt water. To prevent this from happening, please always make sure that the charging port is dry after every use.
