Good headphones for kids
I was searching for good headphones for my six years old daughter. I know the brand JBL very well and I was always satisfied with their products. Therefore I chose JBL-headphones for my daughter. We use the headphones now for two weeks and my daughter is very happy with them. It was important for me, that the headphones are safe for the ears of my daughter. With a maximum volume set under 85dB the headphones are very safe. Additionally the product shut out all noise and distraction with „Active Noise Cancelling“. The handling is easy for kids and they can communicate with the built-in mic. The price is ok, too and I am very happy with my purchase.

Comfortable headphones
The headphones are comfortable but the anc (active noise cancelling) function does not work. I have since read other reviews saying the same thing so do not think it is a fault with just our pair. Very misleading to say they are noose cancelling headphones as that is why I paid the higher price for them.

Perfect NC for Kids
I got this one for my daughter. She is 3 years old and have a noise one year brother. So she need a really good headphone to canceling her brother...
Fitting is easy and wearing very comfy. The noise canceling isnt the same as an adult headphone, but perfect for kids. Not too much, but enough!
Bluetooth pairing is easy and fast. The 3.5 jack can also use with an empty battery, without NC. Only negativ: i buyed the wrong color

Perfect Headphones for children
We have been using the headphones for 3 weeks now. About 1 hour a day. We haven't even had to charge the battery until now.
They are comfortable to wear. the volume and sound are very good.

Poor, not fit for purpose, broken plastic
Headphones have not lasted 6 months.
The plastic is brittle and has gradually broken over time.
After contacting customer services they feel they are not covered under the 2 year warranty as the fault must be due to using them!
I wouldn’t bother buying.
Offered a 20% off voucher to purchase more headphones but we obviously won’t be!
We bought 2 pairs for our twins and the same has happened to both pairs.

Is it possible to completely shut off the bluetooth transceiver in wired mode, or is BT always on? How does this impact battery duration?
ANC on has more impact on the battery than Bluetooth. You could use our JBL JR460 in wired mode with ANC on. Please make sure that the BT of your phone/source device is turned off.

What age group is this headphone most comfortable for? My daughter is 9 years old and afraid this might be too small. If it is, what would you recommend for a 9-10 year old?

I would like to use these in a video classroom for voiceover recording. Is the microphone noise cancelling as well to alleviate other classroom noises while recording a voiceover?
Our JBL JR 460NC's microphone does not have the active noise cancelling feature but these headphones have a microphone sensitivity of -27dBV@1kHz/Pa which makes your voice audible enough for the mic to recieve.

Why aren’t the pink and blue color options available? I have a girl and boy and would love to buy the colored headphones but they are unavailable everywhere. Are they discontinued and no longer available?
Our JBL JR460NC was only designed in the color white. You may be referring to our JBL JR300BT. We have this available in pink, blue, and teal.

Can a one year old use for a flight?
Our JBL JR 460NC is mainly designed for kids between ages 3-10, these headphones might be too large for a 1 yr. old child.
