Awesome speaker for anyone!
Even though this is geared towards kids, I got it for myself as a cheaper alternative to the Flip. I expected it to be good for now, but still planned on getting a Flip eventually. After getting it and hearing the sound quality, I actually don't see the need for the Flip anymore! I'm really impressed with this little speaker, especially considering the price (on sale for $20). The only thing I don't like is the usb port doesn't have a cover, which seemed odd since it's waterproof, but it doesn't seem to be an issue luckily. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting a waterproof speaker!

Kid friendly, but not just for kids!
I had the JBL GO so I knew the sound would be great, and it was!! The JR POP is fun!
It's so easy to use just plug & play .... literally! It charges quickly too.
Kids will love this for portability, including a small strap with a strong snap closure good for hanging on your shower rod (it's water resistant) or on their bikes handlebar! They'll also like 'spaceage' power on/off/bluetooth sound.
I loved the rainbow light feature. It lights while charging, while playing (lights to beats) & can be disabled with easy button shut off!
Though it comes with a sticker pack for customizing, it really isn't just for kids!!

Sweet Little Speaker!
This little thing packs a punch! I was skeptical at first since it is a kid geared speaker, but I tested this thing to all limits. Waterproof rating holds up, distortion is limited at the highest volumes. This thing is great, the battery life doesn't hold out as long as stated when using at near maximum volume. That I can understand though, it requires more power which drains it faster. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a cool little speaker for a kid or heck even an adult. My daughter's love the light effects.

Exactly what I wanted for my music-loving toddler
My toddler is starting to get antsy in her stroller on longer walks with the dogs, but loves music. Unfortunately playing a Sesame Street playlist on a phone was not cutting it, either for my phone's safety or my mom guilt wanting to yell THE SCREEN'S NOT ON at my neighbors. I got this and it's perfect - I can keep the volume low so I can just barely hear it as we walk outside, and the strap fits nicely over the safety bar in front of her so it hangs right in her lap, and I can slide it to the side if she wants a drink or a snack as we go. She enjoys her tunes and I don't have to worry about my phone taking a header onto the sidewalk.

So I'll admit I have a double bias here because I'm a very long time JBL fan and we received this to test. However, I'll try and give this as unbiased a review as possible.
First off, my daughter, who is 4, would rate this 10/10. She carries it around and even sleeps with it... The rainbow lights soothe her. The sound is more than adequate for kids, if I were rating sound quality for an adult or teen, I would say 6/10. It has been dropped a few times with no effect, and very rugged. States that it's waterproof, but I'm leary to test that since it has an exposed charging port. Overall great product .(especially if I were certain it's waterproof!)

Can you chain together multiple JBL JR POP speakers?
Our JBL Jr Pop cannot be connected to multiple JBL JR Pop speakers because it does not have the Connect feature.

I have 3 nephews that all need the same thing or they’ll fight. Ha. If i buy one for each of them, will they be able to listen to their own speaker at the same times? Or does each speaker need its own cellphone or Bluetooth to connect to?
Our JBL JR POP can only be connected to one device at a time.

Does this have a sync button like your extreme so both my kids can listen to the same track on individual units?
Unfortunately the JR headphones do not have this feature. However, we do have a ShareMe feature which allows the headphone to share audio with a second pair of headphones. However, for this feature you would need one of the following pairs of headphones: Everest 300, Everest 310, Everest 700, and Everest 710. Our JBL JR Pop doesn't have an LED indicator. Some phone models will show the battery level of your connected devices.

Received mine today. The charging port is exposed...is it still waterproof this way? Or did I miss a cover/plug in the box? Also do any of the buttons allow for play/pause behavior?

Had my speaker for 1 month and I only use it when showering, it’s starting to sound muffled and scratchy, is this normal?
